For a while, I used to worry that my friends will leave me. I think I've gotten over that now. I suppose I take it on blind faith that they won't.
I recently watched Fences. It's a decent movie, with some decent performances. The timing, of me watching it, was interesting. I recently reconcilled with my dad and I see a lot of him in Troy.
I think the climax of the film occurs when Troy tries to pick a fight with Cory out of some perceived lack of respect, and he kicks Cory out. The film then flash forwards to Troy's funeral, to which a jaded Cory attends the wake but initially refuses to attend the funeral. Rose attempts to convince him to come.
Not too long ago, I was in Cory's shoes, but now I can see Rose's point of view:
I'm gonna do her just like your daddy did you
I'm gonna give her the best of what's in me.
I 3D printed this MOVIE CAMERA from scratch
Does anyone want to do this with me?
Notes from "Don't Shoot the Dog"
Everything is dog training - @rz
My take is that this sort of behavioral training is fine as long as the trained is consciously aware of this sort of thing. It's not the worst way to build a habit.
Corporations embracing meme culture was awful for us. I miss the days where they were embarassed.
Now they are willing to debase themselves in public for every dollar.
I can't say it's not our fault however. We seem to respond quite well to it.
We recently instituted a point system for cleaning. I think it's working quite well.
The Impact of Cellphone Bans in Schools on Student Outcomes: Evidence from Florida
I only read the abstract. This does seem to support the conclusion that we should not be letting kids use phones in school.
